I worked with a historical renovation company in Washington, DC. The owner told me that there is a natural human need to fill empty space. If you bought a 30 room house you would probably go and buy furniture to fill empty rooms. I would think then that one has to be careful in selecting the right size house as well. Too big is just as bad as too small.
